Everything to know about our indoor play classes

As parents, we’re used to endless questions. At Play Maison, we love a bit of curiosity. We’ve answered some of the most common questions we get asked below, so you can feel completely at ease for your first visit.

And if there’s something missing, we’re here to help. Just get in touch.

About our baby and toddler classes

How long do classes run for?

Toddler and children’s classes run for 75 minutes, while our baby classes run for 60 minutes.

Each session includes open studio unstructured play time at the start and end of the class. That means there’s no stress if it takes a little longer to get out of the house or you’re running late, and ensures you and your child have some time to enjoy a gentle transition as the class finishes.

We want everyone to be able to come and play with us. That’s why we operate on a casual basis – there’s no lock in terms or lost spaces if you need to skip a week because of holidays or sickness. It also means you can change which classes you attend – music one week, messy play or sensory play the next!

Our toddler casual classes are $28 per child or $22 per child for our baby classes. This is all-inclusive of materials, art smocks and resources.

A 25% sibling discount applies for additional children. Please use the code SIBLING25 at checkout.

Packs (5 or 10 classes) are also available to make it even easier to drop in for a play. These attract a 10% discount.

Play Maison is designed for babies aged 6 months through to pre-prep children. Some classes, such as Baby Movement, are designed for specific ages. This is clearly noted in our booking system and class descriptions.

We also host parties for primary school-aged children up to 8 years old.

Yes – Play Maison is a shared play space, not a child-minding facility.

Our team is here to support you and your child to enjoy your time together. If your little one is confident exploring, feel free to sit back and relax while you watch them play.

About the Play Maison studio

Is there food available for purchase, or can I bring food for my child?

While we love a picnic, food is not permitted at Play Maison. This rule ensures our space is kept clean and tidy, and helps to keep our little visitors safe.

While there isn’t a bathroom inside the studio, we do have access to a nearby public bathroom located just behind the studio, which includes a change table. A key is available for your use—just ask our team during your visit.

To maximise our play space, unfortunately we don’t have room to accommodate pram parking. You’re welcome to leave your pram out the front of the studio during your visit. This is visible from all areas of the studio.

Play Maison is located in the heart of Wilston Village, on Kedron Brook Road. There’s plenty of easy street parking, and we have a limited number of carparks available at the rear of our complex.

If your little explorer loves an adventure on the train, Wilston Station is just a 500m walk away.

We provide everything you need, we just ask that you and your child wear socks to help keep our space clean and hygienic. And don’t worry if you forget – we have Play Maison socks available to purchase.

If your child is attending an art session or messy play, we provide art smocks. Of course, kids are notoriously skilled at getting messy anyway, so we suggest you dress them in clothes that you’re happy to get messy, and pop in a change of clothes just in case.

All our sessions are timed so you need to book in at a set-time. If you want to keep playing when your session ends, you’re welcome to book into the following session, if we have capacity.

Bookings & cancellations

What is your cancellation policy?

We get it – things pop up and children get sick. If you need to cancel a booked session, we request 3 hours notice if you need to cancel your booking. This allows us to make your space available so another child can come and play.

Flexibility is important to us, which is why we offer casual sessions, rather than a term commitment.

Bookings are essential, as we have limited capacity within the play space. However, you can book in at short notice and if you’re around Wilston, you’re always welcome to pop in to see if we have space for you, though we can’t guarantee it.

Absolutely – after your initial booking, a 25% discount is offered for additional children. Use code SIBLING25 at checkout.
