Step into a world of messy play, and colourful discovery. Our baby and toddler classes are child-led explorations built around a weekly theme – think construction or Dinosaurs & Unicorns, blending guided activities with plenty of open-ended freedom to play, imagine, and create.
We look to Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies to guide our sessions. Each session begins and ends with unstructured play in the open studio. Most sessions run for 75 minutes with the baby classes running for 60 minutes. All sessions are child-led with access to the whole studio. So if they aren’t feeling like Picasso in their art class they can try their hand in the home or dress-up corner. Activities will be set-up on arrival and the team are here to facilitate but there is no formal instruction.
If your child is a budding artist, they can let their creativity flourish here! Whether they’re a mini Monet or their scribbles could rival Cy Twombly, here we’re all about the process. Splash some paint, stamp, stick and colour away! They’ll have the freedom to follow their imagination and create mixed media masterpieces worthy of the prime place on the fridge.
And of course, we’ll tackle the clean-up!
We provide art smocks, but kids will be kids, so we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy.
Sensory exploration is key in early childhood development. Our Mini Messy play sessions are designed to gently introduce little ones to sensory exploration in a calm, supportive environment. From water play to engaging messy trays (all taste safe), babies are free to explore at their own pace and follow their curiosity.
Like all Play Maison sessions, you’ll have access to the entire studio, so if your little one isn’t in the mood for messy play, they can move on to the slide, ball pit or other play areas for a new experience.
Sticky, gooey, fluffy and slimy… If your child loves messy play as much as you hate the clean up, this one’s for you! Messy Play classes give your child the chance to get their hands dirty, experiencing different textures and sensory inputs as we mix it up to keep things interesting. From process art to hands-on sensory bases — both dry and wet — children build fine motor skills and strengthen little hands through play that supports the next stage of development.

Jump, stomp, climb and dance around. Our baby and toddler Movement classes are focused on giving little kids the space to make some big moves. Gross motor development in the early years creates an essential foundation for future learning and growth – and it also makes nap time easier! With climbing triangles, balance beams, obstacle courses and plenty of movement challenges, it’s a fun and engaging way to get the wiggles out, without climbing and jumping on the furniture at home.
