Young children are eager to discover more about their world. With their natural curiosity, this often means endless questions and often seemingly endless mess. We set out to create a space where children could explore new ideas, let loose with messy play, and immerse themselves in imaginative worlds with friends. A space that felt like home, without the clean-up and the never-ending chores.
Keeping little ones entertained and active is a constant challenge. Doing it without your village or when the Brisbane weather is against you is even harder. That’s why Play Maison was born.
After our founder, Teanne, relocated from Sydney with her three small children, she found herself with an unexpected challenge: getting out of the house every day was important for her and for her children’s wellbeing, but by 9am the playgrounds were too hot, library rhyme time was only once a week, and the novelty of large indoor play centres quickly faded. The options for safe, stimulating indoor play were limited.
Unlike other baby and toddler classes, we operate on a casual booking basis. There’s no need to commit to a full term, you can just book in when it suits you. Whether you want to attend once a week or once a month – or even a different class every day – you can do whatever works for you.
